Dr. Jessica Tully was born on an army base in Bremerhaven, Germany, and in 1996, her family relocated to Madison, AL. She excelled academically at Bob Jones High School, graduating as valedictorian in 2004. She then pursued higher education at Auburn University, earning a Bachelor of Science in zoology in 2007 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.


Dr. Tully began her veterinary career as a mixed animal practitioner in Summerville, GA. She subsequently spent five years at a small animal practice in DeLand, FL. In August 2017, she returned to Madison, AL to be closer to family and has been serving the local community since then. Driven by her passion and dedication, Dr. Tully pursued her dream of opening her veterinary clinic. Southpaw Animal Clinic of Madison opened its doors in April 2024. Her professional interests include internal medicine, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, and exotic animal care.


Outside her veterinary practice, Dr. Tully enjoys CrossFit and spending quality time with her husband, David, and their son, Briggs. Their household is lively with two dogs, Grace and Ronin, and two cats, Lulu and Jonesy.

Susanna has been a dedicated professional in the veterinary field for over a decade. In 2017, she earned her Fear Free Certified Professional status, highlighting her commitment to alleviating fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. In 2019, she pursued an Associate of Applied Science in veterinary technology from Jefferson State Community College, graduating with honors. By January 2021, after passing the VTNE in December 2020, Susanna became a licensed veterinary technician in Alabama.


Susanna is passionate about training and educating veterinary assistants and technician students. She serves as the North Alabama representative of the Alabama Veterinary Technician Association (AVTA). She is a member of the North American Veterinary Technician Association (NAVTA) and the Veterinary Hospital Management Association (VHMA). She is working towards her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification and plans to complete her Bachelor of Applied Science in veterinary technology through St. Petersburg College.


Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Susanna resides in Harvest, AL with her husband, Shannon, and their wonderful son. Highlighting their love for Disney, their family includes four German Shepherds named Aurora, Ella, Jasmine, and Sven, along with a cat named Snow. Susanna has a passion for cooking and enjoys experimenting with new recipes. When not in the kitchen, she and Shannon love exploring caves and vacationing in the Smoky Mountains.


In February 2023, Susanna joined Dr. Tully as the practice manager of Southpaw Animal Clinic of Madison, bringing her extensive experience and enthusiasm to the team.

Kailee Sager, originally from Columbia, SC, has called Madison, AL home for the past seven years. She graduated from Sparkman High School and went on to earn her Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in veterinary technology from Jefferson State Community College, graduating cum laude.


With four years of experience in veterinary medicine, Kailee is a dedicated professional aiming to achieve her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification in small animal clinical practice. She also has a strong interest in working with wildlife and zoo animals in the future. Kailee is an active member of the Alabama Veterinary Technician Association (AVTA). 


Outside work, she enjoys playing with her pets, crocheting, and thrifting. She shares her life with her beloved cat, Guido, her dog, Winnie, and her chinchilla Monica. Kailee is passionate about patient care and cherishes the bonds she builds with animals and their owners.

Sharra is a dedicated and passionate veterinary professional from Toney, AL. Currently residing in Madison, AL, Sharra has lived in the state her entire life, moving to Madison almost two years ago.


A graduate of Sparkman High School, Sharra is furthering her education at Penn Foster, where she is pursuing an associate's degree in veterinary technology. Her ultimate professional goal is to become a licensed veterinary technician.


With almost four years of experience in veterinary medicine, Sharra is enthusiastic about various aspects of the field. She has a particular interest in exotic veterinary care, internal diseases, intestinal parasites, autoimmune disorders, pharmaceuticals, and surgery. She also finds joy in helping anxious pets feel more comfortable in a clinical setting.


Outside work, Sharra enjoys walking her dogs, traveling, shopping, and spending quality time with her family. She shares her home with a diverse group of pets, including a Rottweiler mix named Nala, a Husky named Balto, two rats named Havarti and Sage, and a tuxedo cat named Espresso Bean.


Sharra's commitment to her education and passion for veterinary medicine make her a valuable asset to any veterinary team.


Elizabeth Keller

Elizabeth Keller was born in Huntsville, AL, and after a short time in Nashville, TN, she returned to her hometown. She was homeschooled through high school and later moved to Columbia, TN, where she pursued a degree in applied sciences in veterinary technology at Columbia State Community College.


With 19 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Elizabeth is passionate about staying up to date on the latest advancements in the field, particularly in surgery and internal medicine. Her dedication to lifelong learning ensures she provides the highest level of care to her patients.


Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys cross-stitching, reading, and spending time with her children. She has been married to her husband, Eric, since 2018, and together they have two daughters, Savannah (3 years old) and Caroline (6 months old). Their family also includes two beloved dogs: a 13-year-old terrier mix and a 7-year-old pit mix.


Elizabeth’s commitment to veterinary medicine, combined with her love for learning and patient care, makes her a valued part of the Southpaw Animal Clinic of Madison team.


Jamie Faulkenberry

Client Care Representative

Originally from Oklahoma City, Jamie has called Madison, Alabama, home for the past 18 years. She graduated from Forrest High School and has dedicated an incredible 28 years to the veterinary field. With a passion for helping pets and their people, Jamie enjoys her role as a client care representative and looks forward to continuing her career until retirement. 


She loves every aspect of veterinary medicine and finds joy in being part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of animals. Outside of work, she enjoys painting and spending time with her family.


She has been married to her husband, Keith, for four years, and they share a wonderful life with her son, Justin, and their four beloved pets: Tucker (a Golden Doodle), Blue Cheese (a cat), Archer (a mixed breed dog), and Tortellini (a cat).


Her love for animals and dedication to client care make her a valued part of the Southpaw Animal Clinic of Madison team!
